Experis announces an alliance with ServiceNow to upskill UK IT sector
An alliance has been announced between Experis, a ManpowerGroup company specialising in IT staffing solutions, and leading global software company ServiceNow, which will help UK employers across all sectors to develop hard-to-find IT skills across the workforce.
IT and data skills are the most sought after by employers in the UK according to the 2023 ManpowerGroup Talent Shortage Survey. While in the UK IT sector itself, 80% of organisations report difficulty finding the talent they need. This means that Experis will become a RiseUp ServiceNow Placement Partner, helping to upskill and train individuals in the ServiceNow portfolio across the UK and around the globe via the Experis Academy.
The Experis Academy is an innovative IT solution which looks at a wider pool of candidates who may not have all the technical skills for a given role but have adjacent skills and show the right behaviours, mindset and capabilities. The Academy upskills them through a bespoke training programme designed to meet the needs of the role.
This technology alliance will enable ServiceNow to give Experis instant insights on which tech skills their clients need, enabling the Experis Academy to respond to skills needs more rapidly. This gives ServiceNow access to a higher calibre of skilled candidates to provide their clients, and presents a win-win for candidates as well as hiring managers. Candidates will benefit from better paid, higher skilled employment available as a ServiceNow Placement Partner, while hiring managers will benefit from access to larger talent pools and likely reductions in hiring times.
As a Placement Partner, Experis supports RiseUp with ServiceNow’s ambitions to upskill one million people on the company’s platform by the end of 2024. RiseUp with ServiceNow also expands on the traditional definition of tech talent by emphasising “whole‑person” competencies and human “power skills” such as critical thinking, interpersonal communication and creativity.
Michael Noone, Director of Experis Academy, says: “This is a very exciting time to be a part of the Experis Academy. As a RiseUp with ServiceNow Placement Partner, we have the capacity to provide bespoke technical training to candidates that are guided by the needs of the tech industry’s cutting edge at that moment. What’s more, our candidates gain access to some of the best tech roles out there and a chance to develop skills in highly sought-after practice areas. This is set to make a huge impact on IT; an area in which UK employers are currently struggling to source and develop strong skills.”
“As more organisations look to technology to drive productivity and efficiency, digital talent is essential for success, but increasingly hard to identify,” says Amy Regan Morehouse, Senior Vice President of Global Education at ServiceNow. “We are thrilled Experis chose RiseUp with ServiceNow to help close that opportunity gap. Through the programme, individuals will be empowered to build meaningful technology careers with a promising trajectory.”
